The report page contains these main areas:
Missing SoftPaqs over time chart (top left)
Impacted devices by week chart (top right)
Missing SoftPaqs by criticality chart (bottom left)
Missing SoftPaqs by category chart (bottom right)
SoftPaqs table (bottom)
All areas use the same criticality levels:
Critical
Recommended
Routine
Missing SoftPaqs Over Time
The Missing Softpaqs over time is used to see if missing updates are decreasing after patch cycles, especially for Critical items.
The line graph shows the weeks on the X-axis and the count of missing SoftPaqs on the Y-axis. It displays three separate lines: one for Critical SoftPaqs, one for Recommended SoftPaqs, and one for Routine SoftPaqs.
Note:
Data updates once every 24 hours.
Filters on the page do not change this chart.
Impacted Devices By Week
The Impacted devices by week chart in the top-right corner shows the number of devices that have at least one missing SoftPaq. This chart is used to track overall device impact from missing updates over time.
This chart shows weeks on the X-axis and the number of impacted devices on the Y-axis. Each bar is stacked to show the share of Critical, Recommended, and Routine SoftPaqs for that week.
Note:
Data updates once every 24 hours.
Filters on the page do not change this chart.
Missing SoftPaqs by Criticality
The Missing SoftPaqs by criticality donut chart in the bottom-left corner shows the total count of missing SoftPaqs, grouped by criticality. The number in the center shows the total count.
The ring is divided into segments for:
Critical
Recommended
Routine
Use this chart to assess risk. A large part of the ring in Critical or Recommended indicates higher priority work.
Missing SoftPaqs by category
The Missing SoftPaqs by category list in the bottom-right corner groups missing SoftPaqs by technical category.
Examples of categories:
Driver – Chipset
Driver – Network
Driver – Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices
Dock – Firmware and Driver
Driver – Graphics
Driver – Storage
For each category, the SoftPaqs value shows the missing SoftPaqs in that category.
Use this area to focus efforts on categories with more missing updates, such as network or chipset drivers.
SoftPaqs table
The SoftPaqs table at the bottom lists each missing SoftPaq and shows its impact.
Columns
The table contains these fields:
SoftPaq Name: The name of the SoftPaq. Click the name to view additional info.
SoftPaq ID: HP identifier for the SoftPaq. Use this ID in scripts and documentation.
Criticality: Importance of the update:, such as Critical, Recommended, or Routine.
Impacted Devices: Number of devices where this SoftPaq is applicable and missing.
SoftPaq Version: Version of the HP SoftPaq package.
HW Vendor Version: Driver or firmware version from the hardware vendor that the SoftPaq installs.
Search and filter options
The table provides search boxes and dropdowns:
SoftPaq Name: Find a SoftPaq by name.
SoftPaq ID: Find a SoftPaq by ID.
Criticality: Show only one criticality level.
Impacted Devices: Sort or filter to place high-impact SoftPaqs at the top.
SoftPaq Version: Filter by version value.
HW Vendor Version: Filter by vendor version value.
These controls change the table. Charts with a Not affected by filters badge do not change.
Use the table and filters together to build a list of top-priority SoftPaqs, for example Critical items with many impacted devices.
Export report data
Select Export at the top of the page to download report data.
Exports include:
The SoftPaq list shown in the table.
Depending on configuration, a device list for the selected SoftPaqs.
The export is in CSV format. Open it in Excel or another tool to share, filter, or integrate the data with your patch management process.
