Driver Inventory Report

The Driver Inventory Report provides an overview of driver status across all enrolled devices in your organization. It helps IT teams identify which drivers are up-to-date and which ones are outdated. The report also highlights the severity of outdated drivers, enabling teams to prioritize updates and reduce risks caused by driver-related issues.

This report includes detailed driver-level and device-level insights to support driver compliance and remediation efforts. The data is organized across multiple tabs: Summary, Drivers, Drivers Table, and Details.

Summary

This tab provides a visual summary of driver health across devices using two donut charts:

  • Driver Status: This donut chart shows the overall distribution of drivers by update status:

    • Updated (green): Drivers that are up-to-date and meet current support standards.
    • Outdated (red): Drivers that are no longer current and require updates. Outdated drivers may lead to performance issues or compatibility problems if not remediated.
  • Outdated Drivers by Criticality: This donut chart displays the classification of outdated drivers by their level of importance:

    • Critical (red): Drivers that should be updated immediately due to security or performance impact.
    • Recommended (orange): Drivers that are important but not urgent.
    • Routine (green): Drivers that are optional to update and have minimal impact.
  • Hover over a section of the chart to view a quick summary. For example, the number of outdated drivers and impacted devices).
  • Click anywhere in chart section to view the Details tab for more information.

The Summary tab helps IT teams to quickly assess overall driver health and understand the urgency of pending updates.

Drivers

This tab displays a horizontal bar chart titled Drivers by Model. The X-axis shows the number of drivers, and the Y-axis lists the device models. Each bar is color-coded to represent the number of drivers in different status categories:

  • Outdated (red): Drivers that require updates. If not addressed, these may cause performance or compatibility issues.
  • Updated (green): Drivers that are current and do not require any action.
  • Not Supported by HP (gray): Drivers that are installed but not supported by HP, often third-party or manually added.
  • Driver Version Not Supported by HP (black): Drivers whose specific versions are not recognized or validated by HP.
  • Driver Language Not Supported by HP (dark gray): Drivers installed in a language not supported by HP. These may result in limited functionality or localization issues.

This view helps IT teams identify which device models have the most driver-related issues and prioritize remediation.

Tip: Hover over a bar segment to see a detailed count of drivers in each category for the selected device model.
