Introduction
This article provides the steps to install the HP Insights Windows Application (also referred to as the Windows Agent) for Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) and enroll devices. Whether setting up a single device or managing a fleet, these steps enable seamless integration of devices with WXP services.
Windows Application: Installation and Device Enrollment Process
Follow the four steps below to complete the process. Click each link for detailed instructions.
- Meet the installation prerequisites: Assess the network for compatibility with the platform, and configure the proxy or firewall to allow communication between the platform and devices.
- Download the HP Insights Windows Agent: This agent is required for both manual and automatic enrollment. Download the HP Insights Application from HP WXP. For Windows, there are two types of installers:
- Manually enroll a Windows device using a company PIN: When deploying the platform across a fleet of Windows devices, enroll a few devices manually to verify successful enrollment. Then proceed to automatically enroll the rest.
- Automatically enroll Windows devices: Once you’ve confirmed that a few devices have been successfully enrolled manually, you can proceed to enroll the remaining devices using either the automatic or manual enrollment options.
