Introduction
The Devices module of the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) enables you (IT administrators) to efficiently manage your fleet of devices, including PCs, printers, and virtual machines. The Devices module supports centralized monitoring, tracking, and maintenance of devices. It also provides visibility into hardware, software, warranties, and enrollment status. You can add, view, update, and delete devices individually or in bulk. Additionally, it facilitates seamless integration with Google Admin Console to enroll and manage ChromeOS devices.
Managing devices without a centralized system could lead to fragmented control, manual errors, and limited visibility into device health and compliance. The Devices module addresses these challenges by streamlining operations, enhancing security, and reducing downtime.
Key Features
Some of the core capabilities of Devices module are:
Centralized device management: Manage assets, such as PCs, printers, virtual machines, and ChromeOS devices, from a central place.
Bulk and individual updates: Add, update, and manage devices either individually or in bulk using import functions to keep device information accurate and current.
Integration with Google Admin Console: Enroll ChromeOS devices with WXP, even for partners without Super Admin access, using custom roles.
Device enrollment and status tracking: Monitor device enrollment to ensure compliance by tracking the status of enrolled and non-enrolled devices.
Comprehensive reporting and insights: Generate detailed reports on device health, software versions, and warranty status.
Role-based access control: Define and manage access permissions for administrators and partners based on roles.
Security and compliance management: Monitor devices for OS updates, security patches, and compliance with organizational policies.
Find devices: Search for devices using the search box and apply filter conditions to narrow down the search results.
