Introduction
The feature to run multiple WXP Collaboration Collectors allows organizations to handle scenarios like server migrations or regional performance optimization. WXP Collaboration allows you to run multiple collectors at no additional cost.
Scenarios
You may want to run multiple collectors in the following situations:
- Server migrations or Data center migrations
- Regional collectors, when high latency is observed
Prerequisites
-
A new service account must be created in the WXP Collaboration Admin Portal under the Users section. Please open a support ticket to convert this account into a Collector Agent account.
-
Prepare a new server where the collector will run.
Instructions
-
On the new server, install the WXP Collaboration Collector using the new service account credentials. For detailed installation steps, see: Installing the WXP Collaboration Collector.
-
On the Monitoring Groups page in the WXP Collaboration Admin Portal, click New Monitoring Group to create a new group.

-
In the Monitoring Group dialog, enter a meaningful name in the Monitoring Group Name field.
-
In the Service Account drop-down, select the new service account.

-
Click Add Endpoints, and select the endpoints that this collector will monitor.

If the endpoints you want do not appear in the list, they are already assigned to another monitoring group.
Go to that monitoring group, remove the endpoint, and then add it to the new group.
