Introduction
When installing the WXP Collaboration Data Collector, you may encounter an error indicating that another instance of the Data Collector is already running on the server. This typically occurs when an existing service using Non-Sucking Service Manager (NSSM) is already active.
To resolve this issue, you must identify and stop the conflicting service before proceeding with the installation.
Identifying NSSM Services
1. Open PowerShell on the server as an Administrator.
2. Run the following command:
Get-WmiObject win32_service | ?{$_.PathName -like '*nssm*'} | select Name, DisplayName, State, PathNameYou should see only one service as shown the screenshot below.

Resolving Conflicting Services
If additional services appear in the list, stop the extra service that is using NSSM. If the service cannot be stopped because other applications depend on it, install the Data Collector on a different server that does not have NSSM-dependent applications.
This is a known limitation and support for coexistence with other NSSM-based applications will be addressed in a future release.
Deleting the Existing Data Collector Service
Run the following command from an Administrator Command Prompt:
SC DELETE VyoptaTech InsightsDataCollectorServiceRecreating the Data Collector Service
1. Go to the Data Collector installation folder.
2. From an Administrator Command Prompt, run:
vyoptacollector.exe -installAfter the command completes, the new service will be created and available to start.
