Introduction
To successfully install the HP Insights Windows Application, also referred to as Windows Agent, for the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP), the following criteria must be met:
Hardware Requirements:
Processor: 1 GHz or faster.​
RAM: 1 GB for 32-bit systems or 2 GB for 64-bit systems.​
Disk Space: At least 30 MB of free disk space.
Software Requirements:
Operating System: Windows 10 or later.​
SNMP Service: The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) service must be installed and running before installing the HP Insights agent.
Network Requirements:
Internet Access: The device must have internet connectivity to communicate with HP's servers.​
Firewall Settings: Ensure that the firewall allows outbound connections to HP's servers.​
Downloading the HP Insights Windows Application using setup.exe includes multiple independent installation packages. Each package has its own version, prerequisites (as seen in Add or Remove Programs on a Windows device), and a corresponding Windows Task Scheduler task.

In addition, the following requirements must be met:

Silent enrollment requires User Principal Name (UPN) suffixes, so domain-joined devices must have a valid UPN. If the device is not domain-joined, the device can be silently enrolled without a valid UPN. | |
Configuring proxy or firewall to allow communication for HP Insights domains | If your devices are protected by a firewall, proxy, or security software, ensure they are configured to allow communication. |
(Optional) Configure authenticated proxy server settings or proxy auto-configuration URL / static proxy server | If the proxy server cannot be automatically detected, configure the settings by specifying the auto-configuration URL (PAC URL) or the static proxy server if an authenticated proxy is used. |
Note: FIPS mode must be disabled, refer to the article - HP Insights Analytics Does Not Support FIPS Mode.
