Introduction
HP WXP Collaboration Endpoint Status and related endpoint peripheral status fields in Tech Insights Monitoring provide accurate and consistent visibility into endpoint health.
The Endpoints dataset also includes new fields that help administrators understand Endpoint Monitor (EPM) connectivity and error conditions.
The WXP Collaboration application uses two services to determine endpoint status:
Endpoint Monitor (EPM): Communicates directly with the endpoint.
Infrastructure Collector (InfraCol): Collects data from the infrastructure where the endpoint is registered.
EPM is the primary source of truth, and InfraCol acts as a backup. This helps reduces inconsistency and improves status accuracy.

Endpoint Peripheral Statuses
Endpoint peripheral statuses are sourced exclusively from EPM. The peripheral statuses display 'UNKNOWN' when EPM cannot connect. This helps to prevents stale data and highlights potential connectivity issues.
EPM Connectivity Endpoint Fields
The following fields introduced EPM connectivity status details:
EPM Connectivity: The EPM Connectivity field in Endpoints dataset in Tech Insights Monitoring™ indicates whether WXP Collaboration can successfully connect to an endpoint to collect data and is displayed alongside other key endpoint fields in the user interface.
EPM Error: This field provides details on “why” EPM is unable to connect to an endpoint, helping administrators troubleshoot connectivity issues more effectively.
