Failure in Validating Endpoint

Introduction

When validating an endpoint in the Admin Portal (https://my.wxpcollaboration.hp.com/#/admin/endpoints/list), the validation process may fail with this error message - “An invalid response was received. The collector may not have a suitable driver or validation.”

In some scenarios, this error message is misleading. The validation failure occurs because the username and password for the endpoint are not configured and are set to null.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the WXP Collaboration application. the Home page is displayed.

  2. In the Tech Insights Admin Portal, locate the affected endpoint.

  3. Select the Edit option (pencil icon) at the right end of the endpoint entry.

  4. Enter a valid username and password for the endpoint.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Retry endpoint validation.
