Introduction
The WXP Insights agent is a core component of HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP). It is deployed across your organization’s device fleets to enroll devices, collect telemetry, enable communication between the devices and WXP, and provide key insights about your fleet management.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions to download and install the WXP Insights agent to ensure successful enrollment and optimal performance. Depending on your organization’s setup, you can choose between Manual or Automatic Enrollment:
Manual Enrollment: Requires downloading the agent to the local computer and install it using the Single Installer.
The Single Installer method is ideal for manually installing the agent on individual devices.
This method is ideal for small-scale deployments, testing, or enrolling a few devices without the need for centralized control.
Automatic Enrollment: Requires downloading the agent to a location accessible by all computers on the network and installing it using the MSI Installer, which is ideal for managing large-scale deployments. This method helps to ensure consistency and reduces installation time for large IT infrastructures.
The MSI Installer is designed for enterprise environments where organizations need to distribute the agent efficiently while conserving network bandwidth.
The MSI package can be deployed using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Group Policy, or other enterprise deployment tools.
