Introduction
When adding a new user in HP WXP Collaboration application, you may receive an error stating that the user already exists, even though the user does not appear in the active Users list. This article explains why this error occurs and how to resolve it.
Cause
This error occurs when the user was previously added to the account and later deleted or removed. In this case, the user record still exists in the Recycle Bin and cannot be added again until it is restored.
Resolution
Sign in to the WXP Collaboration using admin credentials.
From the Admin portal, click Users.
In the top-right corner, select the Recycle Bin icon.

In the Recycle Bin window, locate the user you are trying to add.
Select the user and click Restore Selected. The user will now appears in the Users list.

Reset the password or update user details as required.
Note:
Only users with access to the Admin Portal can restore users from the Recycle Bin.
