Overview of Workflows in WXP

Introduction

The Workflow feature in HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) is a low-code workflow orchestration capability designed for large-scale IT remediation. It enables IT administrators to deploy automated workflows across thousands of endpoints using a visual, drag-and-drop interface, helping teams shift from reactive ticket handling to proactive remediation.

Key Capabilities

Workflow Builder enables you, as IT admins, to:

  • Trigger workflows

    • Workflows can be triggered based on event-based alerts.

    • Workflows can also be triggered based on scheduled date and time events for a selected target audience

      • Target devices: Target devices can be defined by using Static,  dynamic, and Microsoft Entra ID groups.

  • Perform Actions

    Perform the following actions:

    • Run scripts

    • Device actions, such as driver updates

    • Send webhooks

  • Use Advanced logic: Include conditional if/then/else branching in workflows

  • Monitor

    • Monitor execution by using device-level logs.

    • Track workflow status.

    • Review error handling details.
