Introduction

The Industry Benchmarking feature in HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) helps customers understand their organization’s performance in comparison with their peers in the same industry, with global benchmarks. By comparing key experience metrics against external standards, customers can identify performance gaps, review improvement opportunities, and make informed decisions.

The Industry Benchmarking score supports continuous improvement and helps customers understand where their organization stands compared with others in the same industry.

This feature is accessible for Pro and Elite plans of WXP.

Industry Benchmarking Features

  • Overall Industry Benchmark View: Customers can compare their organization’s Overall Score with the overall Industry Benchmark score.

  • Granular Metric Breakdown: Customers can compare individual metric scores with the industry benchmark score for each metric included in the overall score category.

    • To view the metric breakdown, go to Analytics > Experience Score

  • Benchmark Metric Cards: Each DEX metric, such as System HealthOS Performance, and Security, has an individual metric card. Each card shows the customer’s score and comparison scores for the industry benchmark and global benchmark.

    • Customers can select a metric card to view the KPIs associated with that score.

  • Benchmarks Table: The Benchmarks table provides a detailed view of issues by impacted devices. It also shows the related score category, status, company score, global benchmark score, industry benchmark score, and recommended actions, if available.

    • Customers can filter the table by different metrics, such as System HealthOS Performance, and Security.

Understanding the Industry Benchmarking Score

The Industry Benchmarking score is the average score of all customers within the selected industry. For example, if the selected industry is Transportation, the score reflects the average score of customers in the Transportation industry.

The score can also be broken down by individual metrics and KPIs.

Viewing Industry Benchmarking

When Industry Benchmarking is released, customers are guided through the setup using an in-product setup prompt. After setup, customers can update the industry selection at any time.

To view or update Industry Benchmarking:

  1. Log in to WXP. The Home page is displayed.

  2. From the left menu, click Account. The Account details page is displayed.

  3. On the Overview tab, go to the Company Profile section.

  4. Select the Edit icon.

  5. Select or update the industry from the dropdown list.

  6. Select Save.

  7. Go back to the Home page of the platform.

  8. View the Industry Benchmarking score in the Overall Score section.
