During CUCM validation in HP WXP Collaboration application, you may see errors stating that the CdrEnabled and CdrLogCallsWithZeroDurationFlag parameters are not set to True on some cluster nodes. These errors can appear even if those nodes do not handle CDRs.
This article explains the reason to enable CdrEnabled and CdrLogCallsWithZeroDurationFlag settings on all nodes in a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) cluster.
When these configuration settings are queried through the CUCM API, the cluster returns a response for each node in the cluster. The API response does not identify the functional role of each node, such as whether it performs call processing, and thus generate CDRs. Because the node roles are not distinguished in the API response, the validation process cannot selectively exclude non–call-processing nodes. As a result, the settings must be enabled on all nodes in the cluster.
Applying these settings cluster-wide ensures consistent behavior and prevents validation errors or other configuration issues from being hidden or misinterpreted.
