Introduction

This article explains how to register for the Daily Data Collection Status Report to receive automated updates on WXP Collaboration data collection health. The report helps you identify potential issues early and take action before they impact your environment.

Q. WXP Collaboration Produces A Daily Collection Health Report - How do I Receive This?

A. In order to receive the daily report, just register as a Technical Contact for your organisation. This is done using the WXP Collaboration Administration Portal.

Once logged in, go to Account Settings:

In Account Settings, select ADD CONTACT to open a form to complete.

From the Type dropdown, select ‘Technical’ and complete the other details accordingly.

Any email address associated with a Technical Contact will receive the status email.

Q. What is the Purpose of the Report?

A. The report attempts to provide an early indication of potential problems with WXP Collaboration data collection in your environment so that action can be taken to correct issues.

Q. I have a system showing an error, but there is no issue. Why is this?

A. When devices have not supplied data for some time, it is flagged first as a warning and then as an error, along with the date of the last seen data. If the device, for instance, is not carrying traffic, then it may be flagged as having collection issues. Use your knowledge of your environment, along with the report, to determine if action needs to be taken

Q. Can I Have the Report Delivered to Microsoft Teams/Slack, etc.?

A. The report can be delivered to any system that will accept an email - the content is standard HTML.

For Microsoft Teams, take the following steps

Select the channel you wish to use to see the notifications, click on the ... at the right-hand side, and then click on Get mail address
