Introduction

Poly Lens is an Add-on feature in HP Workforce Experience (WXP) to enable organizations to connect their WXP tenant with a Poly Lens Cloud tenant. This integration allows IT administrators to streamlined, click-through workflow that opens Poly Lens Cloud in a new browser where you can deploy, remotely monitor, update, and troubleshoot your collaboration devices and rooms inventory, with deeper visibility into performance and health. This helps you stay ahead of issues, simplify day-to-day management, and deliver consistent experiences everywhere your team’s work.

The Poly Lens Add-on in WXP focuses on authorization and seamless navigation, while management of hybrid collaboration spaces, rooms, and devices continues to be performed directly in Poly Lens Cloud. Prerequisites

Before starting, ensure the following requirements are met:

  • You must be an IT Admin in the WXP tenant

  • You have access to either:

    • An existing Poly Lens account, or

    • Permission to create a new Poly Lens account

Note:

  • Only one Poly Lens account (tenant) can be linked to a WXP tenant

  • Datacenter alignment is required:

    • A US‑based WXP tenant can only connect to a US‑based Poly Lens account

    • Cross‑region connections (for example, US to EU) are not supported

When a user is granted WXP IT Admin and is invited to a WXP tenant with the Lens add‑on already enabled, the user is automatically added to the linked Lens tenant with Admin role. Role sync and user creation/update are handled by WXP and Poly Lens authorization flow.

Lens add‑on visibility and access are limited to specific WXP roles; no implicit access is granted

  • Role-based access control: WXP IT Admin users receive full administrative access in Poly Lens Cloud, while WXP Report Admin users receive read-only access, and all other predefined WXP roles do not have access to the Add-on.

  • Centralized hybrid collaboration management: Through Poly Lens Cloud, administrators can deploy collaboration devices, monitor device health and performance, manage rooms and spaces, perform remote troubleshooting, and update firmware and configurations.
