Introduction
The Proxies tab displays a list of all the Print Fleet Proxies you have installed and connected to WXP. When you connect a Print Fleet Proxy, the service is automatically associated with your organization’s WXP account and added to the Print Proxies list.
Target Audience
IT administrators who onboard and manage printers.
Printer Administrators who onboard and manage printers.
View Proxies Screen
To view the Proxies screen, in the left navigation, click Devices > Printers, then click the Proxies tab. The Proxies screen appears.

The Proxies screen displays a list of all the Print Fleet Proxies currently installed and connected to WXP. From this screen, you can perform basic proxy management tasks, such as connecting a Print Fleet Proxy to WXP, editing proxy identifying information, or removing (disconnecting) a proxy.
Searching for Proxies
The Search field allows you to search for a specific Print Fleet Proxy in the list.
To search for a Print Fleet Proxy, type a search string in the Search field and press Enter. You can search for any identifying information, such as the Proxy Name or the Host Name. You can enter full or partial strings.
Connecting a Print Fleet Proxy to WXP
If you have a Print Fleet Proxy installed, but it is not in your Proxies list, it means that the Print Fleet Proxy has not yet been connected to WXP. You can connect the proxy directly from the Proxies screen. Once connected, the proxy onboards all the printers managed by the associated Web Jetadmin service into the WXP portal.
Note
To connect the Print Fleet Proxy, you’ll need access to its host computer to generate a verification code.
To connect a proxy:
At the top of the Print Proxies list, click Add.
2. In the Code field of the Verify a Proxy dialog, enter your proxy’s verification code.

Note
If you don’t have a code, use the Print Fleet Proxy tray app on the Web Jetadmin host to generate a new code now.
Click Verify. The Proxy Verified dialog appears.

Click Allow to confirm that you want to connect the proxy to your organization’s WXP account.
The Proxy Connected dialog appears. This dialog displays identifying information about the proxy you’ve just connected to. By default, WXP identifies the proxy based on the computer name. If you want to give the proxy a different identifier, you can do that here.

If you choose, edit the Proxy Name and provide a Description, then click Done.
Modifying a Print Fleet Proxy
You can modify the Print Fleet Proxy name or description at any time.
To edit a proxy:
In the Print Proxies list, select the proxy that you want to edit.
From the Actions dropdown that appears at the bottom of the window, select Edit, then click Continue.
In the Edit a Proxy dialog, modify the Proxy Name or Description, then click Save.
Removing a Print Fleet Proxy
You can remove a proxy from the Print Proxies list at any time. Be aware that removing a proxy will also remove all printers associated with that proxy from WXP, since the link between WXP and the HP Web Jetadmin service that manages those printers on-premises has been severed.
Note
Removing a Print Fleet Proxy in the portal only severs its connection to WXP. It does not uninstall the Print Fleet Proxy service from its host Web Jetadmin server. You can reconnect it at any time.
To reconnect a proxy to WXP, see Connecting a Print Fleet Proxy.
To remove a proxy:
1. In the Print Proxies list, select one or more proxies that you want to remove.
2. From the Actions dropdown that appears at the bottom of the window, select Remove, then click Continue.
3. Click Remove to confirm the removal of the proxy.
Downloading the Print Fleet Proxy Installer
The Print Proxies screen includes a link to download the Print Fleet Proxy installer. If you need to install a Print Fleet Proxy on another Web Jetadmin host, you can access this link to download the installer at any time.
To download the Print Fleet Proxy installer:
1. On the Web Jetadmin host, open the Print Fleet Proxy service tray app.
2. Click the Gear icon (
) in the top-right corner of the app, then click Digital Experience Platform.
The WXP portal launches with the Proxies screen displayed.
3. At the top of the Print Proxies list, click the Print Fleet Proxy download link. A dialog appears containing the Print Fleet Proxy download link.
4. Click the download icon.
Install the Print Fleet Proxy software and connect it to WXP.
