Endpoint Sync Issues

Introduction

As IT Administrators, you can add endpoints to WXP Collaboration application in two ways:

  • Manually: Add endpoints manually in the Admin Portal of WXP Collaboration application. 

  • Synchronization (recommended): Use the synchronization features to sync endpoints from source systems, such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Poly RealPresence Resource Manager (RPRM), Cisco Control Hub/Webex, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams. This approach enables administrators to manage all endpoints in a single location, eliminating the need for multiple sources of management. In addition, synchronization helps to keep critical data, such as serial numbers and IP addresses, up to date.

This article helps you troubleshoot endpoint synchronization issues in WXP Collaboration and explains the checks to perform before contacting support.

Endpoints not appearing after sync

If you sync endpoints from a unified communications as a service (UCaaS) system, they typically appear within 24–48 hours, depending on when the endpoint was added. If an endpoint does not appear after 48 hours:

  1. Sign in to the Admin Portal of WXP Collaboration application.

  2. Verify the infrastructure where the endpoint should be synced. For example, CUCM, Control Hub, Zoom, Microsoft Teams.

  3. Confirm that the integration is enabled, click Validate and ensure and ensure there are no errors.

CUCM-registered endpoints are not syncing

If endpoints are registered to CUCM, check the following on the publisher before opening a support case:

  1. Sign in to the CUCM publisher with an administrator account.

  2. Go to User Management > Application User and find the user "vyopta_svc" (or your designated service account).

  3. Confirm the user is assigned to these groups. Enable any that are missing:

    1. Standard CCM Read-Only

    2. AXL User Group

    3. Standard CTI Enabled

    4. Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf
