Checking Status of On-Premises Data Collector

Overview

This article explains how to verify that your on-premises data collector is functioning correctly.

Checking Collector Status

1. Open the collector status view as shown in the provided video.

2. Locate your on-premises data collector in the list.

3. Check the status indicator next to the collector.

A green indicator confirms that the data collector is running properly.

A red indicator means that the data collector is not functioning correctly.

Restarting the Collector

If the status indicator is red, connect to the server where the collector is installed and restart the collector service.

If you do not have access to restart the collector, contact the collector owner for assistance.
