Checking Status and Version of WXP Collaboration Data Collector

Introduction

Keeping track of the status and version of the HP WXP Collaboration Data Collector is essential to maintain a healthy monitoring environment. When issues occur with data collection from endpoints or infrastructure, checking the Data Collector status is the recommended first step.

The Admin Portal of WXP Collaboration provides a quick way to view both the operational status and the installed version of all collectors in your environment.

Checking the Status and Version of Data Collector

1. Sign in to the WXP Collaboration application.

2. From the application window, click Admin Portal. The Home page is displayed.

   

3. At the top-center of the page, locate the collector status indicator:

   1. Green: Indicates the collector is running and operational.

   2. Red: Indicates the collector has stopped.

   3. Yellow: Indicates the collector has recently stopped.

      

4. Hover the mouse pointer over the status indicator on the Home page of the Admin Portal. A small window appears, showing the version number of the Data Collector and the endpoint.

   

5. Click the down arrow next to the status indicator. A detailed view opens, showing full information of the collector.
