Buildings, Spaces and Networks in WXP Collaboration

Introduction

In HP WXP Collaboration, your workplace data is organized by buildings (office locations), spaces (rooms or areas inside those buildings), and networks (the connections those rooms and devices use, such as Wi-Fi or LAN). The WXP Collaboration Admin Portal lets you manage all three at scale.

Creating Builds, Spaces, and Network

  1. Login to the Admin Portal of WXP Collaboration. The Home page is displayed.

  2. In the left menu, select the Buildings.

    1. If there are no existing data, an empty page is displayed with a Getting Started button.

    2. If data exists, three tabs are displayed: Spaces, Buildings, and Network, along with their data.

      1. The selected tab is shown as plain text; other tabs are shown with a hyperlink.

  3. To upload data:

    1. From the top-right of the page, select the “download” arrow.

    2. Follow the prompts to name and save the CSV.

    3. If there are no existing data, select Get started and choose the blank formatted CSV for Buildings, Spaces, or Networks.

    4. Review the CSV guidelines.

      1. The first rows in the CSV include important instructions, such as  required fields, valid values, and parent-child relationships.

    5. In the CSV, edit existing data or add new data.

    6. To add new items, insert new rows and enter all required fields.

    7. Save the file when finished.

    8. Upload the CSV

      1. If you do not have existing data, select Ready to upload and choose your saved CSV.

      2. If you do have existing data, use the upload arrow in the top-right and select your saved CSV.

    9. Confirm results by email. After the upload, you will receive an email validation.

      1. If the email shows success, your changes are live.

      2. If the email lists errors, review the error details (row numbers and reasons), fix the CSV, and re-upload.

Once the upload is successful, data will reflect in the respective tabs - Spaces, Buildings, and Network.
