Introduction
The Locations feature in the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) allows you (IT administrators) to manage delivery and contact information for global addresses. By maintaining accurate shipping locations, you can ensure timely delivery of devices, replacement materials, and services to the correct addresses. This feature enables you to add, update, and delete one or more locations as needed.
Target Audience
Primary audience:
- IT administrators and support personnel who set up and manage the platform (all roles).
Secondary audience:
- HP Partners who use the platform to manage their customers.
- Internal and external developers who integrate with the platform.
- Decision-makers, such as Product Managers, Sales teams, and C-suite executives.
Key Features
Some of the core capabilities of the Locations feature include:
- Adding and managing multiple locations: Add, update, or delete one or more shipping or delivery addresses globally. This provides flexibility to manage locations, such as regional offices, project sites, or remote teams.
- Setting a default location: Mark a specific location as the default delivery address. This eliminates the need for manual selection every time.
- Finding addresses: Easily search, sort, and filter addresses by fields such as address line, city, state, or country.
- Location-specific contacts: Assign a primary contact for each location, including their name, email address, and phone number. This ensures the right person is notified regarding deliveries or location-specific updates.
- Custom delivery instructions: Add specific delivery instructions for each location—for example, "Leave at front desk" or "Deliver to security cabin." This helps ensure safe and efficient delivery processes.
