HP Premium and Premium+ Support (formerly, Active Care) is powered by the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP). This article offers help for WXP features that are unique to these services.
Although the preferred way to enroll a PC into a customer tenant is by using the cPIN, you may transfer PCs between customer’s dashboards or transfer from your holding tenant to a customer’s dashboard.
Note:
You can only transfer PCs that you can see in your partner tenant specifically PCs in customer tenants and your holding tenant. If you try to transfer a PC that you cannot see, you will receive an error.
Be very certain that your customer is in posession of a PC before transferring it to their dashboard. HP Insights can be configured to collect the last signed in user and the PC’s location. Do not accidentally expose this information to the wrong customer for a PC they do not have. Note: If this happens by mistake, you can always reverse the transfer and put the PC back into your holding tenant or into the correct customer's tenant using the same method above.
Transferring devices
Log into your WXP partner account.
From the left menu, click Customers and select the target customer into which you will transfer the PC.
From the lower left menu, click Settings and from the Overview tab copy their Customer ID.
From the left menu of the platform, click Devices > PCs.
Click Transfer at the top of the list.
Download the sample transfer file.
For each PC you wish to transfer, add a row to the file.
In column A, add the serial number.
In column B, add the Customer ID you copied above.
In the Transfer Devices dialog box, click Upload.
Locate and select the file you just created and click Upload.
When the transfer is complete, a red mark will appear on the Notification Center (bell icon) in the upper right of the page.
Download the Summary from the Notification Center. If there are any errors, take appropriate corrective action.
