HP Workforce Experience (WXP): Tableau Connector Activation
Activate the Tableau connector to visualize data in Tableau Cloud.
Locate Tableau in Integrations page of the Workforce Experience Platform and click Configure.
Select all the reports for which you would like data to be generated in Tableau. Then, click Save.
Note: Larger amounts of data may require more time to import into Tableau, so it is recommended to start out with a smaller set of reports first.
Click on the Connect button that now appears within the connector card.
Select Next, and then enter your Tableau credentials before clicking on Connect to begin integrating your desired reporting data into Tableau. Tableau credentials include Username, Password, and Tableau URL (e.g., https://us-east-1.online.tableau.com)
The Tableau connector card should now display that it is Connected, which indicates that the data pull into Tableau has begun.
To view the imported data, navigate back to Tableau and go to the left side menu > Explore.
Select the HP Analytics Data folder.
Data for your desired reports will automatically populate in this folder, in which you can now use to create meaningful visualizations and perform insightful analysis.
Tableau Data Connection and Refresh Schedule
Estimated time for initial data pull: Dependent on the amount of data you have. Larger amounts of data may require more time (i.e., a few hours), so it is recommended to start with a smaller set of tables first.
Data refresh frequency: Every 24 hours from connection time.
