Resolving Collector 4.x - 500 error when validating a CUCM

Introduction

The Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) Collaboration Collector 4.x provides diagnostic and resolution steps to address 500 errors encountered during Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) validation. The issue prevents successful validation and stops data collection, and is commonly caused by an incorrect AXL user group configuration in CUCM.

Problem Statement

When attempting to validate a CUCM from the web-based administrative console, an error may appear:

The WXP Collaboration Data Collector will not be able to collect data with this error present.

Resolution Steps

This error occurs when the AXL group name is not named according to the specifications in our deployment guide.

Rename the group to AXL User Group in Call Manager, then save the changes. Validate once more from the config app.
