Introduction

HP WXP Collaboration is committed to protecting customers’ data and privacy. This policy describes our brute-force password protections.

This policy applies to customers who do not use single sign-on (SSO). For SSO customers, your organization’s login policy applies.

Login failures

  • Maximum failed logins: 5 attempts within an hour.

  • Default wait time: 5 minutes; the account is temporarily locked).

  • Wait time increment: +5 minutes each time the maximum failures are reached, until reset.

  • Maximum wait time: 15 minutes.

Quick login

Quick login means making login attempts less than 1 second apart.

  • Default wait time: 1 minute (the account is temporarily locked).

  • Wait time increment: +1 minute each time a quick login is detected, until reset.

  • Maximum wait time: 15 minutes.

Counter reset

The brute-force counters (failed logins and quick logins) reset after an hour with no failed or quick login attempts.

Solution - If you are locked out

If your account is locked for any of the reasons above, wait up to 15 minutes for the lock to clear automatically.
