Overview of Fleet Explorer

Introduction

The Fleet Explorer feature, available in the Labs section of the HP Workforce Experience Platform, is an interactive, generative AI-powered tool that facilitates querying and interpreting data using natural language. It helps IT teams accelerate troubleshooting and make faster, more informed decisions.

Generally, fleet management data is spread across multiple reports, which can be time-consuming for IT admins to analyze. To make this easier, Fleet Explorer provides answers to your fleet-related questions through a simple chat interface, without requiring knowledge of SQL or other query languages.

Note: Fleet Explorer is currently in beta and offers limited functionality.

Target Audience

Primary Audience:

  • IT administrators and support personnel who set up and manage the platform (all roles).
  • HP Partners who use the platform to manage their customers.
  • Internal and external developers who integrate with the platform.

Secondary Audience:

  • Decision-makers, such as Product Managers, Sales teams, and C-suite executives.

Key Features

Some of the key features include:

  • Natural Language Interface: To get any fleet-related data, simply ask questions using a conversational language and you will get the answers without having to write SQL queries or learn database syntax.

  • Powered by Telemetry: All results are personalized using telemetry data based on the organization's tenant ID.

  • Tiered Access: Access to Fleet Explorer depends on your subscription tier.

    • Elite Tier users: Unlimited access
    • Pro Tier users: Up to 150,000 tokens per month
      • Tokens refer to words, phrases, or punctuation interpreted by large language models (LLMs).
      • Users can track token usage directly on the Fleet Explorer page.

Use Cases

Fleet Explorer reduces the time and effort needed to analyze fleet data and generate insights. It empowers users to resolve issues without building complex reports or learning advanced query languages.

  1. Investigating Low Employee Sentiment
  • Scenario: The CIO of a company inquires with IT administrator about a drop in employee sentiment scores over the past two months.
  • Solution: The IT administrator uses Fleet Explorer to ask conversational questions about sentiment trends and possible causes.
Fleet Explorer returns charts and tables showing that the drop in sentiment aligns with a spike in memory overutilization.
With this insight, the IT manager proposes a plan to upgrade impacted devices.
