Prerequisites
Before you begin the migration, set up a new Windows Server that meets the necessary requirements. To prepare, refer to the WXP Collaboration Pre-Kickoff Checklist, which provides information on:
- Recommended server or VM specifications
- Server access setup
- Downloading and installing required applications
Steps to Migrate
Once the new Windows Server is set up as per the requirements:
- Stop the WXP Collaboration Data Collector on the old server.
- Copy the vyoptacollector.xml file from the old server to the new one. Place the file in the same directory where you will install the data collector (for example, C:\WXPCollaboration).
- If you have a Call Manager and are set up with Pushed Based CDR or you have an SFTP program, migrate the software to the new server and ensure to update the Call Manager.
- Install the WXP Collaboration Data Collector on the new server.
- Your infrastructure and configuration details are stored in the cloud, so you do not need to manually add them again.
- If you have installed WXP Collaboration Data Collector version 4 or later, go to the WXP Collaboration Admin Portal and validate each infrastructure.
- Once the new data collector is installed and verified, uninstall the WXP Collaboration Data Collector from the old server.
Note
For CMS devices, ensure the CDR Forward URL is updated. This should occur automatically during validation.
