Introduction

The HP Insights Health Checker application has detected that a domain or port is blocked between the PC and HP. This is preventing the PC from enrolling.

Please note that, since security is managed in the network where the PC is operating, HP cannot solve this problem. Please read more for the solution.

Proxies and Firewalls

Typically, medium, large, and enterprise businesses use Proxies or Firewalls to protect PCs from resources that might cause harm or from unauthorized access. An approach called whitelisting is commonly used because permits access to approved domains or communication through approved ports.

HP Insights requires specific domains and ports be whitelisted or the PC cannot enroll.

If the HP Insights Health Checker displayed "HP Endponts unreachable" or "Potential Firewall Issues" please contact the person responsible for your network security.

  • Ask if your company us using a proxy server. If they say yes, ask which option below is correct and for the URL if they tell you to select either of the last two. Return to the HP Insights Health Checker, click on the Network Settings tab, enter the information they provided, and click the Run button.
