Enabling HP Cloud Connection/Web Services Overview

Introduction

Enable the HP cloud connection (web services) on your printer to link it to the HP cloud and begin onboarding to the HP Workforce Experience Platform. Enabling HP cloud connection allows WXP to connect to the printer and creates a communication channel that enables  the platform to access, manage, and monitor the device. This article explains how to enable HP cloud connection (web services) on printers so they can securely connect to the HP Workforce Experience Platform for onboarding, management, and monitoring.

There are two ways to enable HP cloud connection:

• Using the MPS Printer Onboarding tool. If you need to enable HP cloud connection on multiple printers with the same admin credentials, the MPS Printer Onboarding tool can accept a CSV file with a list of IP addresses or discover printers on the internet and can then connect to and modify the settings to enable HP cloud connection/web services.

• Manually, one printer at a time, either through your browser by connecting to the printer’s Embedded Web Server or on the control panel of the printer itself.
