Step 1 - Set up an API integration with the Poly Lens Platform

Pre-requisite:

You must have full read/write administrator privileges to create the API integration.

To add and verify the integration for the Poly Lens collector, follow these steps:

  1. In the Poly Lens Platform (lens.poly.com), go to the Account menu in the top-right corner and select the account for which you want to host the integration.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Account settings.
  3. Go to API Credentials.
  4. Select Add New.
  5. Select Just this account, and then click Next.

  1. Enter a name for the integration.
  2. In Role, select Admin and click Create. The new connection will populate the integrations API List.

  1. Select Copy to copy the Client ID and Secret to your clipboard.

Step 2 - Add a Poly Lens Connector

To add a Poly Lens Connector, you need:

  • The Client ID and Secret from the integration you created above.

To add your Poly Lens instance, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the WXP Collaboration Admin Portal with your credentials.

  2. In the Infrastructure menu, select New Infrastructure.

  3. From the list of infrastructure types, click Poly Lens.

  4. On the Poly Lens page, enter the connection and integration details:

  5. In Description, enter details such as device group, location, and other unique identifiers.

  6. In Host address, enter https://api.silica-prod01.io.lens.poly.com.

  7. In Client ID and Client Secret, enter the values you created in the Poly Lens Platform.

  8. Click Save.

  9. After saving, two new buttons appear: Disabled (top) and Validate (bottom).

  10. Select Validate to check the connection. A pop-up appears.

  11. If validation fails, select the Details arrow for more information (for example, invalid API credentials or connection issues). Correct the problem and try again.

  12. When validation succeeds, click Disabled to change it to Enabled. This begins monitoring and data collection from your Poly Lens account.
