Introduction
HP's Wolf Security products provide comprehensive endpoint protection and resiliency that starts at the hardware level and extends across software and services. The Wolf Security Controller (WSC) is the HP-cloud-hosted or on-premise installed “controller” for administrators to manage these products.
HP Workforce Experience (WXP) now integrates with HP-cloud-hosted WSC to provide simplified navigation and single sign-on (SSO) for customers using both platforms.
This integration provides:
SSO when using both WXP and WSC.
Integrated dashboard and menu navigation between WXP and WSC.
Simplified device navigation across both platforms for improved visibility and contextual remediation.
This article provides guidance on using the integration between WXP and WSC. It also describes additional features and navigation options that are made available in both WXP and WSC.
Target Audience
HP customers who use both HP Workforce Experience Platform and the Wolf Security Controller.
Prerequisite
Familiarity with HP Wolf Security products and the Wolf Security Controller. This integration requires at least one WXP tenant and at least one WSC tenant live and working with the same email login. For Getting Started Guides and detailed product information, visit HP Wolf Pro Security Support Center.
Using HPs Workforce Experience Platform with the Wolf Security Controller
Use the same login credentials (HPID or EntraID) for both WXP and WSC to enable SSO. This allows seamless transition between platforms and access to dashboards and device specific‑ pages without signing in again.
This requires:
An active WXP account with enrolled devices running the HP Insights Agent.
An active Wolf tenant with enrolled devices running Wolf Security software, including the HP Security Update Service (SUS).
A user (or users) using the same login credentials on both the WXP tenant and WSC tenant, with assigned roles on both WXP and WSC.
Navigating from WXP dashboard to WSC dashboard and back
If all the above requirements are successfully met, you can seamlessly navigate from WXP to WSC and back again using dynamic navigation links provided inside the platforms.
Log in to WXP. The Home page is displayed.
From the left menu of WXP, click Add-ons and click the arrow next to HP Wolf Security to navigate from WXP to WSC. The Wolf Security portal opens in a new browser window.

If you have access to more than one Wolf Security tenant, then follow the prompt to choose which tenant to open.
If you have access to only one Wolf Security tenant, you are redirected to tenant dashboard through SSO.
If you do not have access to a Wolf Security tenant, you are redirected to the Wolf Security website where you can find out more information about Wolf Security products and sign up for a trial.
If you are a WSC user, then the Workforce Experience navigation option is listed at the bottom of the navigation page. Click Workforce Experience to go back to WXP.

Navigating between device pages
If the device is enrolled in both Wolf Security and WXP, and you have access to both tenants, you can easily navigate to the same device on each platform to review the operational and security contexts.
On the WXP Device Details page, the HP Wolf Security indicator appears for devices that are running HP Wolf Security and allows you to navigate to the HP Wolf Security portal
The behaviour of this indicator depends on the following criteria:
If you have the required permissions for the device in WSC, select the indicator to open the device in WSC.
If you do not have the required permissions, an error is displayed. Contact your WSC administrator for the appropriate permissions.
If the device is running Wolf Security but is not connected to an accessible controller, the HP Wolf Security link directs you to the HP Wolf Portal. Use the HP Wolf Portal to either associate the device to an activated Wolf tenant or sign up for a trial. This situation can occur, for example, if your device has "Wolf for Business" or "Wolf Pro Security Edition" installed without an activated tenant.
No indicator is shown if the device is not running Wolf Security.
On the WSC device page, you can view the HP Workforce Experience WXP navigation indicator:

The behaviour of this indicator depends on the following criteria:
If you have the required permissions in WXP, click the indicator to open the device in WXP.
If you do not have the required permissions, an error is displayed. Contact your WXP administrator to request access.
If the device is not running HP Insights Agent, no indicator is displayed.
Troubleshooting
If your tenant is partner-managed and the HP Wolf Security portal indicator is not visible in the Add-ons menu, contact your partner.
If your Wolf Security Controller uses Entra ID for user authentication but your account is not assigned a role, you will see a 403 access error and will not be able to access the Wolf Security Portal.
To configure access, refer to the article - Enabling SSO for Wolf Pro Security with Azure AD.
