Introduction
The EU Data Act feature in the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) lets IT administrators request and download telemetry data from managed devices. This feature supports transparency and compliance with EU regulations while ensuring secure access to your organization’s device data.
This article explains how to request, track, and download telemetry data.
Prerequisite
Only IT administrators with tenant access can request telemetry data.
Accessing Telemetry Data
Log in to WXP. The Home page is displayed.
From the left menu of WXP, click the Accounts icon. The Accounts page of WXP is displayed.
On the right panel, select the Telemetry Data tab. The Telemetry data is displayed, showing the details - Request ID, Status, and Created date.
When you access telemetry data for the first time, a Terms and Conditions (T&C) consent window appears. You must accept the T&C to provide explicit consent for HP’s data-sharing policies under the EU Data Act. After you accept, you can submit and download telemetry data requests.
Submitting a Telemetry Data Request
1.Log in to WXP. The Home page is displayed.
2. From the left menu of WXP, click the Accounts icon. The Accounts page of WXP is displayed.
3. On the right panel, select the Telemetry Data tab. The Telemetry data is displayed.
4. Click Request data.
5. The system generates the request and adds it to the list with the Status In Progress.
6. When the request is complete, the Status changes to Completed.
Search for a Telemetry Data Request
1.Log in to WXP. The Home page is displayed.
2. From the left menu of WXP, click the Accounts icon. The Accounts page of WXP is displayed.
3. On the right panel, select the Telemetry Data tab. The Telemetry data is displayed.
4. In the Telemetry Data table, you can filter requests by:
- Request ID
- Status
- Created On date
Downloading Completed Telemetry Data Requests
1.Log in to WXP. The Home page is displayed.
2. From the left menu of WXP, click the Accounts icon. The Accounts page of WXP is displayed.
3. On the right panel, select the Telemetry Data tab. The Telemetry data is displayed.
You can download telemetry data only for requests that have a completed Status.
- Hover over the desired completed request. The action icon appears in the right corner.
- Select the action icon and click Download. A zip file with telemetry data gets downloaded.

Requested files are available for download for a limited time (for example, 7 days). After the file expires, you must submit a new request.

WXP logs all requests and downloads for auditing.
