Android: Manually Enroll Android Devices Using Company PIN

Introduction

The HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) allows you (IT administrators and authorized users) to enroll Android devices manually using a Company PIN. This method is useful when automatic enrollment is not available or when deploying individual devices outside of a managed fleet. By installing the WXP app from Google Play and entering a valid PIN, devices can be securely enrolled in the platform.

Follow these steps to manually enroll Android devices using a company PIN.

To manually enroll an Android device:

1. Search for the “HP Workforce Experience Platform” app in Google Play. 

2. Click Install to proceed, then click Open after the app is installed

3. Select Company if the computer is owned by a company or Personal if the computer is owned by an individual person, then click Next.

   1. Note: If “Personal” is chosen, some HP TechPulse functionality will not be enabled. 

4. Enter the company-wide PIN, then click Next. To obtain the Company PIN;

   1. Log into WXP. The Home page is displayed

   2. From the left menu of the platform, click Settings > Preferences.

   3. On the Preferences tab, scroll down the Company PIN section and copy the pin.

5. Select OK to accept the End User License Agreement.

6. When prompted, select Allow to allow HP TechPulse to access the device’s location.

7. On the Usage Data Access screen, select the HP TechPulse app and toggle on Allow usage tracking to allow HP TechPulse to collect usage data from the device.

A Setup Complete screen appears with a success message.
