Introduction
This article describes a known issue where the HP WXP Collaboration Data Collector version 4.0 and later fails to install due to invalid credentials. The failure can occur even when the credentials in the vyoptacollector.xml file appear correct. Re-entering or validating the password does not resolve the issue because the Data Collector version 4.0 and later does not support the ‘@’ character in passwords. If the service account password contains this unsupported character, the installation fails with an invalid credentials error.
Resolution
Change the service account password to remove the '@' character.
Update the password value in the vyoptacollector.xml file to match the new service account password.
Save the configuration file.
Run the WXP Collaboration Data Collector installation again
