This method is particularly useful for organizations managing large device fleets, enabling centralized removal and device unenrollment during offboarding, reimaging, or software transitions. The article provides step-by-step guidance to link the GPO in Active Directory and apply the uninstallation PowerShell script via startup policies to ensure seamless removal during the next system reboot. ### Creating a Group Policy Object To create a Group Policy Object to uninstall the WXP Insights agent for Windows: 1. Download the Uninstallation PowerShell script from [here](https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/HP_DaaS/DaaS%20Client%20Scripts/GPO/Install/WXP-Insights-Installation-Scripts.zip). 2. Extract the uninstall script. 3. To open the Group Policy Management console, enter `gpmc.msc` at the command prompt on the Active Directory (AD) Domain Controller. 4. Select **Create a GPO in this domain and Link it here**…. 5. Name the Group Policy Object “Uninstall WXP Insights for Windows Application”. 6. Select **Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Scripts (Startup/Shutdown) > Startup.** 7. In the **Startup Properties** window, select the **PowerShell Scripts** tab. 8. Select **Show Files.** 9. Copy the script file into the folder. 10. In the **Startup Properties** window, select **Add.** 11. Browse and select the `wxp-insights-uninstall-script.ps1`file. 12. To exit the window and apply the settings, click **OK**. The client computer receives the Group Policy update during the next refresh interval. When the client computer restarts or starts up, the **Uninstall WXP Insights for Windows Application** Group Policy object is applied, and the device is automatically unenrolled from WXP Insights for Windows services. > **Note**: To successfully unenroll devices, they must be connected to the Internet. ### Contact Us For any assistance, [create a support case](/wxp/docs/creating-a-support-case) or email `support@wxp.hp.com`.
